The Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at our production facility. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by minimizing downtime through a systematic approach to fault diagnosis and maintenance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance activities across a range of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies to reduce the likelihood of breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify potential issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship-trained with recognized qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current health and safety regulations and environmental best practices.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance of industrial plant and equipment, including mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues from various departments.
