We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Share Plans team at Pro-Tax. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax services to our clients, including advising on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership.
Key Responsibilities- Client Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to their needs and requests, and maintaining regular contact to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Project Delivery: Take full responsibility for project delivery, ensuring that assignments are completed within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, including control of billings and cash collection, and ensure that the firm's quality control procedures are adhered to.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other Tax managers and the team to provide support and expertise, and participate in the management of the group through regular meetings and social functions.
- Staff Development: Provide training and mentoring to junior staff, and counsel, appraise, develop, and motivate staff as appropriate.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of EMI, ESS, and reward tax, including experience in the preparation of share valuations and liaison with HMRC.
- Staff Management: Proven experience in staff management and mentoring, with the ability to counsel, appraise, develop, and motivate staff.
- Business Acumen: Ability to profitably manage a client portfolio, with a strong understanding of accounting, employment law, and company law implications of share incentives.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise clients and colleagues on complex tax matters.
- Qualifications: Educated to degree level (LLB preferred), and/or CTA and/or ATT/ACA qualified or equivalent.
