Job Title: Customer Underwriting Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Underwriting Team Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of underwriters to deliver high-quality risk management decisions that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of underwriters to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed risk management decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and efficiency, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that our underwriting processes are aligned with our business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and analyze team performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
