Mental Health Practitioner for Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Off the Record Youth Counselling Croydon. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health support to children and young people aged 11-25.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a range of flexible and engaging mental health interventions, including individual support, group work, and counselling.
- Maintain a regular caseload, including offering first initial meetings, holding/crisis sessions, and ongoing support with young people.
- Support the delivery of telephone cover, first contact team, and other relevant initiatives.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions offered through the routine use of outcome monitoring tools reviewed directly with young people.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to identify new areas for development, creativity, and innovation within our existing services.
- Maintain high levels of safeguarding awareness and respond to risk and safeguarding issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all work delivered on relevant data systems.
- Graduate or postgraduate level Mental Health related qualification.
- At least 200 hours direct experience providing mental health support, with at least 100 hours with young people.
- Experience of working with young people delivering a range of mental health interventions.
- Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and the issues related to delivering services to young people under 16.
