About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our site services team at bet365. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing our newly released Android Sports Native App, working closely with our award-winning website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a growing team of talented developers to deliver high-quality Native App development, user interfaces, interactivity, and performance.
  • Work throughout all stages of the Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure timely and successful delivery to the Google Play Store.
  • Act as a leader and mentor to other team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
  • Develop and enhance our Sports App using a large and ever-expanding Kotlin codebase and our in-house framework.
  • Contribute to feature development, issue resolution, performance improvements, tooling production, and automation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in writing code using Kotlin or Java in Android Studio.
  • Proven working experience with modern Android libraries and APIs.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Experience with unit testing, including testing frameworks such as Espresso.
  • Knowledge of web technologies, Chrome Web Inspector, or Android WebView APIs.
  • Ability to debug and address memory and performance issues.
  • Designing and developing complex feature-rich applications for the Android platform.
  • Implementing unit tests to improve and maintain app quality.
