Job Description

Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Job Summary:

Adecco is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join our client's dynamic team. As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the testing and release of raw materials and finished products, leading a small team of QC technicians, and ensuring good laboratory practices are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of Quality Control Technicians to ensure efficient and effective testing and release of products.
  • Attend daily update meetings and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Plan and prioritize work efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure timely release of products.
  • Conduct taste panels and record results to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Manage reject stock and raise non-conformances for quality rejections.
  • Collaborate with the Analytical team to ensure testing requirements are met.
  • Ensure customer requirements for Certificates of Analysis are met.
  • Suggest improvements to laboratory practices and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Acquire knowledge of materials, products, and test procedures to ensure effective quality control.
  • Manage the process of releasing stock under micro concession.
  • Support the investigation of complaints and resolve quality issues.
  • Order consumables for the lab and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Take on management responsibilities for specific areas of the factory.
  • Complete scheduled and ad hoc internal audits and checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Food Science Graduate or equivalent with knowledge of QC function.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene management.
  • Good communication and organization skills.
  • Supervisory experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of HACCP and quality management systems (desirable).
  • Experience in working in a lab environment (desirable).
