Company OverviewThe successful candidate will be an integral part of the Engineering Team, responsible for ensuring the best performance and dependability of manufacturing equipment, contributing to safety and efficiency across all site assets.
This is a fantastic chance to work with high-speed automated machinery, specialist, and high-tech equipment (predominantly Krones) in a dynamic environment.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is estimated to be between 48,000 and 50,000 pounds per annum, rising after probation.
The shift pattern is a rotating two-week cycle, with two weekends off in four.
Job DescriptionAs a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Fault finding, repairs, and maintenance on high-speed, automated machinery
- Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech equipment
- Ensuring adherence to engineering procedures, including Health & Safety, Quality, hygiene, and general housekeeping
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major issues, ensuring lessons learned are communicated to the wider team
- Highlighting opportunities for improvements in the maintenance plan and/or failure of components
You will work closely with the Production Department to ensure equipment operates in accordance with SOPs, producing products to specification.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should have:
- An ONC/NVQ in an engineering-related discipline
- Previous experience of installations and testing
- An understanding of Site Services covering Compressors, Boilers, and Electrical distribution
- The ability to replace/set up Invertors and Controllers
- Proven experience of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance, and installations
An understanding of Food Process Machinery/FMCG would be highly advantageous.
