Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to take on a leadership role within our Orthopaedic In-patient Therapy Service. As a highly specialist physiotherapist, you will be responsible for managing your clinical caseload with autonomy and ensuring that standards of professional practice are adhered to from a personal and team perspective.

The successful candidate will have up to 2 years' experience as a Specialist Therapist in a related area, along with a BSc hons in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and HCPC registration. They will also possess up to date knowledge of government policy and strategy, evidence of previous managerial experience, and knowledge, skills and experience treating patients with orthopaedic conditions.

Key responsibilities include providing day-to-day management of a team, including annual leave, sickness, initial handling of complaints, disciplinary issues and recruitment. The post holder will also be responsible for the safe and competent use of equipment and resources by staff and patients, ensuring accurate management information is collected and collated, and acting as an authorised signatory for the team.

Requirements:
  • Up to 2 years' experience as Specialist Therapist in a related area
  • BSc hons in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Up to date knowledge of government policy and strategy
  • Evidence of previous managerial experience
  • Knowledge, skills and experience treating patients with orthopaedic conditions
