As a key member of the Shift4 Europe (formerly Finaro) team, the Director, Financial Control & Reporting, UK will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial, accounting, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting functions of Credorax Services UK Ltd.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Accounting, Controlling, and Reporting
- Oversee all financial control activities, including managing accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and performing reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and review and analyze monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures.
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/UK GAAP and manage and coordinate the audit of statutory financial statements within stipulated deadlines.
- Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information and presentations to support effective policy making and financial planning.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the finance function and general accounting processes.
- Provide ad hoc support to the VP Finance, Europe, and the Consolidation team.
- Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Liaise with tax accountants and specialists.
- Take care of all tax and VAT compliance obligations, including handling necessary HMRC registrations and preparing and filing returns.
- Support the design and implementation of tax planning strategies through tax research and advice, including preparation of transfer pricing documentation and analysis.
- Regulatory Reporting
- Liaise with supervisory authorities and regulatory specialists.
- Compile accurate, timely, and complete regulatory and statistical reporting returns.
- Review new regulatory reporting requirements to determine and define newly imposed requirements and provide professional technical guidance to senior management.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and other analyses as may be required by regulators and senior management.
- Chartered Warranted Accountant qualification.
- A minimum of 7 years' relevant working experience, primarily in a Big 4 environment (preferably audit & assurance) or in a financial institution.
- Income tax and VAT compliance knowledge is highly valued.
- Regulatory reporting experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Ability to learn quickly and a proven track record in problem analysis with the ability to creatively and proactively solve problems.
