About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead and develop a team of accountants in our mid-size, well-respected accountancy firm. As a Senior Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing client portfolios, preparing and submitting accounts and tax returns, and providing client advice on tax positions, cashflow, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of accountants, conducting individual performance reviews and return-to-work interviews
  • Prepare, send, and submit accounts and tax returns for various entities, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
  • Provide client advice on tax positions, cashflow, and budgeting, and review and prepare bookkeeping and VAT returns
  • Execute year-end meetings and conduct client fee reviews
  • Interact with HM Revenue & Customs to resolve queries and provide external client training
Requirements
  • Over five years of experience in a fast-paced accountancy practice
  • Proficiency in client meetings and software like Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, and Free Agent
  • Sound understanding of tax principles and membership to a relevant professional body
