Job Summary

Chris Hayes Associates is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join our team in a part-time or full-time capacity. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping and financial management of our clients, including processing client paperwork, bank reconciliations, and preparing month-end journals and management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process client paperwork, including general ledger postings and bookkeeping
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare month-end journals and assist with monthly management accounts
  • Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting
  • Prepare relevant calculations, VAT returns, and other statutory returns

Requirements

  • Several years of bookkeeping and management accounting experience
  • AAT qualified, studying for a further qualification, or qualified by experience
  • Excellent IT skills, including Sage
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Frequent interaction with clients and their staff
