Director of Enterprise Container Storage Engineering

FalconStor Software is a leader in data management solutions, and we're seeking a highly skilled Director of Enterprise Container Storage Engineering to join our team.

This role will involve designing and developing solutions using FalconStor software, third-party vendor, and open-source software products. You will work closely with our team, customers, partners, engineering, and marketing teams to develop, demonstrate, and deploy microservices/containerized long-term archival and data preservation capabilities.

You will participate in technical architecture and design discussions with customers on deploying Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, or Docker Enterprise Edition based Archive as a Service (AaaS) infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing containerized storage solutions using Kubernetes, Docker, and other technologies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AaaS infrastructure
  • Participating in technical architecture and design discussions with customers
  • Developing use case demos and integrations with other enterprise software stacks
  • Providing technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams

Requirements include:

  • 10+ years of experience in a sales engineering/solution architect, technical consulting, or technical services delivery role
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, and RedHat OpenShift
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure products and experience with racking/stacking infrastructure equipment
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure management tools, such as monitoring tools, incident management, and network management
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise storage and network technologies
  • Comfortable working in a Linux/Windows OS environment
