The Role

In this role, you'll collaborate with senior scientists on the development and optimisation of bespoke PCR assays, contributing to the next generation of diagnostics.

  1. Design and execute experiments with minimal supervision
  2. Record detailed observations in laboratory books, prepare technical reports and write SOPs
  3. Analyse data, plan and design follow-up studies, and troubleshoot assay performance
  4. Communicate effectively with the line manager and team members

Key Responsibilities:

  • Molecular biology expertise in designing and executing experiments
  • Strong analytical skills in data analysis and interpretation
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

What We Offer

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum

We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for innovation in molecular diagnostics. You will have:

  • BSc/MSc in a relevant scientific field with at least 1 year of experience
  • Solid knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines
  • Hands-on experience with qPCR, probe-based PCR, and LAMP amplification
