Senior Archivist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Archivist to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. As a key member of our Special Collections service, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of our extensive collections of manuscripts, rare books, and audiovisual material.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of collections management, including appraisal, accessioning, cataloguing, discoverability, and accessibility of physical and digital archives.
- Provide professional expertise to users, including students, academics, researchers, and the public, to raise the profile and use of Special Collections.
- Build strong working relationships and networks across the archival, cultural, and HE sectors.
- Ensure all procedures and services align with sector/accreditation standards, legislation, and best practice.
- Manage projects and budgets, line manage members of the team, and develop and fundraise for new projects.
