Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a designated area within the Supply Chain department, overseeing activities such as Warehousing, Stock Control, Navixa Material Control, Goods In, Goods Out, and Stocktaking.
  • Lead a team of Stores Handlers, ensuring regular communication and awareness of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with business units to achieve operational requirements, focusing on cost, quality, and target dates.
  • Assist Planners and Buyers in locating and directing parts to production areas.
  • Process receipting and location delivery of stock, updating relevant Business ERP Systems within agreed timescales.
  • Update central spreadsheets as required, providing relevant KPIs for Logistics functions.
  • Issue and deliver stock in line with planned requirements, KPIs, and agreed timescales.
  • Direct and deliver parts from Material Control and Repair Services to designated locations.
  • Collect, pack, and issue goods from Despatch areas on time.
  • Ensure correct paperwork, identification, and certification received with goods.
  • Conduct routine, planned inventory counts and random stock checks as directed.
  • Comply with risk assessments and internal procedures when handling, packing, storing, and shipping of Dangerous Goods.
  • Collect, record, receipt, and bin locations of Serviceable returns and process Unserviceable returns.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement within the Logistics/Supply Chain department.
  • Ensure accurate recording of data required to maintain KPIs.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and escalate relevant information through the Line Manager.
  • Ensure health and safety meets required standards.
  • Adhere to manual handling procedures when lifting and manoeuvring products and materials.
  • Store hazardous materials in accordance with requirements.
  • Maintain vehicles, machinery, and equipment in good condition.
  • Ensure high standards of security in the warehouse.
  • Ensure staff comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and work safely.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
  • Deputise for Supply Chain and Logistics Manager as required.

  • Good planning skills and ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

  • An appropriate warehousing qualification would be advantageous
  • Certified in: Dangerous Goods Handling
  • Fork Lift Truck licence

Experience:

  • Working within a Supply Chain in an Aerospace MRO environment
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader with experience of supervising and motivating a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques may be advantageous
  • Good understanding of certification requirements
