Job Title: Director of Programme Management

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead our programme delivery team, overseeing the continuous improvement of our transport network through strategic planning, effective resource management, and technology utilisation. You will be responsible for managing contracts, data security, risk assessment, and business continuity, as well as recruiting, training, and leading staff dispersed across different locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the programme delivery team to achieve our transport strategy goals
  • Oversee the implementation of high-profile schemes and projects
  • Manage contracts, data security, risk assessment, and business continuity
  • Recruit, train, and lead staff across different locations
  • Develop and implement effective resource management and technology utilisation strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental and regeneration issues facing the borough
  • Excellent understanding of the political interface in a local authority
  • Ability to interpret, model, and articulate a strong strategic vision for service quality and continuous improvement
  • Strategic thinking and ability to create, lead, and deliver innovative solutions
