We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Programme Management to join our team at the Royal Borough of Greenwich. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of transportation in our borough.

About the Role

The Director of Programme Management will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our transportation strategy, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-profile schemes and maintain a strong grip on project delivery. You will be committed to delivering an efficient, well-connected network that our residents love, with a carbon footprint that we can be proud of.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our transportation strategy
  • Oversee the delivery of key projects and programmes, including public realm infrastructure and transportation systems
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-profile schemes and maintain a strong grip on project delivery
  • Recruit, train, and lead staff dispersed across different locations, fostering a skilled and adaptable workforce
  • Prioritise service standards, manage budgets, and ensure performance management and service improvement
  • Manage contracts, data security, risk assessment, and business continuity
