Project Manager - Highways

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Birmingham or Derby. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering major multi-disciplinary projects from concept to construction on our expanding portfolio of projects across various market sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver projects to agreed targets, including programme, budget, and quality.
  • Identify and agree project objectives and develop a strategy for achieving them.
  • Manage potential contractual and commercial risks to AtkinsRéalis.
  • Lead the project team, building and motivating them to achieve project goals.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination with clients and project teams.
  • Agree commercial trading arrangements and communication plans with internal and external teams.
  • Assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans.
  • Protect AtkinsRéalis' commercial interests, including timely and accurate invoicing and effective credit control.
  • Closing out projects on completion, archiving project documentation, and ensuring lessons learned are captured and disseminated.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Engineer or Architect with experience managing design, build, and/or operate commissions on large infrastructure projects.
  • Market sector experience across Water Infrastructure, Rail, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Urban Development projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and build a high-performing team.
  • Experience with NEC3 or 4 construction contracts and programming and earned value techniques.
  • Familiarity with BIM and 3D modelling tools for design and coordination purposes.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and ability to travel across the UK.
