About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Octavius Infrastructure. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful development and delivery of large-scale construction and refurbishment projects within listed or heritage buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead customer-focused project teams to exceed expectations, ensuring high-quality, timely project delivery.
  • Foster strong engagement with stakeholders and local communities to create positive project outcomes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, contracts, and governance processes.
  • Drive financial performance through effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and profit accountability.
  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team.
  • Mentor and develop team members, sharing best practices to enhance skills and project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Significant experience managing large-scale construction and refurbishment projects within listed or heritage buildings.
  • Commercial awareness, and good level of programming and contract knowledge. Familiarity with NEC 4 contracts, and an understanding of how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances.
  • Experience working for a tier 1 contractor and managing a project portfolio up to £15 million.
  • SMSTS competent with relevant CSCS cards, PTS and other identified training.
  • Detailed understanding of safety leadership, UK building regulations, heritage conservation practices, and Network Rail Engineering Management standards.
  • Competence in MEP-related work streams, especially integrated power, fire alarm, and CCTV installations.
  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, professional certification in project management, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage.
