React Native Engineer

We are seeking a talented React Native Engineer to join our fast-growing fintech organisation. As a key member of our mobile development team, you will play a critical role in advancing our mobile platform and collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and software engineers to create a seamless, user-centric mobile experience for both iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement new features that enhance the user experience of our unique SaaS platform.
  • Optimise performance, integrate with backend services, and ensure high-quality code delivery.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable code.
  • Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between the mobile app and backend services.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure the app is stable and performs well.
  • Implement pixel-perfect UI designs, ensuring the best possible user experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a React Native Engineer with 3+ years of mobile development experience in React Native, working on both iOS and Android apps.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mobile development frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Redux, GraphQL, or other state management libraries.
  • Background working with SaaS or FinTech applications.
  • Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks like Jest or Detox.
  • Experience with cloud services and mobile deployment pipelines.

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite in London)
