We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Evans Cycles. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in leading and motivating the store team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating the store team to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction, in conjunction with the Store Manager.
  • Monitor and control store inventory levels, ensuring accurate stocktaking and minimizing stock discrepancies.
  • Ensure that cash handling procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide input on ways to improve the customer experience and suggest solutions to improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail management experience, preferably in the cycling or sporting goods industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Sales-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge and passion for cycling and cycling products, with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

  • A competitive salary, ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum.
