We are seeking a Senior Analysis Engineer to join our Pipeline Group team at our Sutton, London office on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our Analysis Engineers are recognized for their expertise in analysis across the full installation process from installation analysis preparation and delivery to the following of offshore operations to completion. You will be part of a team of installation analysis project engineers, dealing with rigid pipeline installation analysis in project, FEED or tender.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed feasibility studies and installation analyses, considering all associated risk and ensuring that all safety rules are considered for various operations such as pipe laying, riser installation, pipeline structure in line installation.
  • Determine and optimize operations installation steps, laying methods determination (S-Lay, J-Lay, reeling).
  • Ensure the quality of its analyses, and the respect of the planning.
  • Interface with associated subsea related disciplines and understand the interfaces within a project environment.
  • Provide engineering support during operations with occasional periods offshore.
  • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
  • Participate actively to the PG department knowledge consolidation.
  • Propose innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis methods.
  • Good knowledge of beam theory and Physics of Material.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with relevant software such as Orcaflex, Abaqus, Python, VBA, etc.
  • Good communication skills and ability to speak with a variety of stakeholders and who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team.
  • Good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability to prioritize and organize your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
