We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Analysis Engineer to join our team at Subsea7. As a key member of our offshore installation analysis team, you will be responsible for performing detailed feasibility studies and installation analyses, considering all associated risk and ensuring that all safety rules are considered for various operations such as pipe laying, riser installation, and pipeline structure in line installation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing detailed feasibility studies and installation analyses, considering all associated risk and ensuring that all safety rules are considered for various operations such as pipe laying, riser installation, and pipeline structure in line installation.
  • Determining and optimising operations installation steps, laying methods determination (S-Lay, J-Lay, reeling).
  • Ensuring the quality of its analyses, and the respect of the planning.
  • Interfaces with associated subsea related disciplines and understands the interfaces within a project environment.
  • Provides engineering support during operations with occasional periods offshore.
  • Ensures all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
  • Participates actively to the PG department know-how consolidation.
  • Proposes innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis methods.
  • Good knowledge of beam theory and Physics of Material.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with relevant software such as Orcaflex, Abaqus, Python, VBA, etc.
  • Good communication skills and ability to speak with a variety of stakeholders and who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team.
  • Good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
  • This role may involve short spells of overseas travel so candidates may need to show a willingness and flexibility.
