Credit Administration Officer Role

IPOE Consulting is seeking a skilled Credit Administration Officer to join our team. As a Credit Administration Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out all round credit administration functions from pre-disbursement support through to post-completion follow up, ensuring prevailing internal policy and guidelines are adhered to in full compliance with procedures as well as applicable external rules and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare in-house term sheets, facility letters, addenda, borrower consents, lien on deposit authorizations in a timely manner following credit approval.
  • Solicit fee quotes from valuers and solicitors on panel.
  • Proactively follow up with business the return of signed term sheets, facility letters, addenda, etc., and the required commitment fee.
  • Coordinate and instruct the appointment of solicitors and valuers as chosen by client.
  • Follow up with solicitors until the legal conveyancing is completed and required documentation are executed in order as per bank's prevailing requirement.
  • Ensure all Condition Presidents are satisfied.
  • Oversee queries raised by panel solicitors and valuers, resolving issues and/or referring them to the Head of Credit Administration or, where relevant, the Head of Credit Approval, Head of Credit in accordance with delegated authorities. Keep Business updated on the progress.

Requirements:

  • Credit administration and process experience with Buy to Let (residential and commercial) & SME banking product knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of credit documentation, security perfection, valuation, collateral management by way of work experience and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience of process and technology solutions for risk mitigation & control.
  • Team player with positive 'can do' attitude combined with a flexible approach to the tasks required.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Strong ability to work in a time-constrained situation and cross-cultural environment.
  • Confident in interacting frequently across all business areas and with middle management.
  • Strong verbal and written business writing skills.
  • Be proactive in problem-solving and deadline-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
