SEND Teaching Assistant

Engage Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Autism, SEMH, Learning Difficulties, and behaviours that challenge.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to provide individualized support and guidance to students, promoting positive reinforcement and praise.
The role involves a range of activities, including 1:1 support, small group work, and holistic-based interventions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support to students with Autism, SEMH, Learning Difficulties, and behaviours that challenge
- Working closely with the Class Teacher to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery
- Providing positive reinforcement and praise to students
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Job Specifications:
- School hours are 8.30am to 3.30/4pm (term time only)
- Prior experience supporting students with SEND
- Full-time temporary position or flexible daily supply work
- A majority of our schools cater for children aged between 3 and 11
- Excellent leadership team
