Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at Daubeney Academy. As a key member of our SEND department, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, promoting independence and confidence in their learning.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring that students with SEND receive tailored support.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop strategies to support students with diverse needs.
Requirements:
  • High levels of personal resilience and a commitment to safeguarding young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures, with a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
