About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Partner to join our newly-established Performance team at Cambridge University Hospitals. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our Performance and Delivery department, working closely with the Director of Operational Strategy and the Deputy Chief Executive.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in supporting the Performance team to effectively use, share, and provide access to timely and understandable data. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing regular reports and designing new dashboards to support time-limited programmes
  • Identifying drivers of poor performance and associated opportunities
  • Collaborating with the Performance team to develop and implement data-driven solutions
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in business analysis, data analysis, and data visualization. Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a postgraduate qualification in a relevant area
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in a range of software applications
  • Previous experience in a business analyst role, with a focus on data analysis and quality improvement
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

While not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be highly desirable:

  • ECDL Advanced/Expert or equivalent knowledge
  • Leadership, teaching, training, or project management experience
  • Experience working with Epic, particularly the CLARITY database
Knowledge and Skills

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of data within an NHS environment, as well as knowledge of NHS data standards and the workings of the NHS. They will also have the ability to identify data problems and deal with issues as they arise.
