Job Title: Principal Software Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Security Engineer to join our team in Coventry. As a key member of the Engineering Delivery team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure software solutions.

  • You will work closely with electrical, mechanical and nuclear systems engineers to identify security risks and set security controls for their systems.
  • You will develop and implement a comprehensive Cyber Security Strategy, ensuring alignment with industry best practice and business process.
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to shape future Product Security Policy for the Product and provide assurance to the customer through regular SWG.
  • You will produce test plans and schedules, conduct informal and formal cyber security testing, and support engineering gated reviews and design assurance activities.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum

Requirements:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM subject or Information Security related.
  • Recognised Industry Security Qualifications, e.g. CISM, CISSP.
  • Proven experience of assessing and managing risk in line with industry good practice (NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Significant experience with using security baselines, mitigations and controls.
  • Engineering background and/or strong familiarity with a life cycle phased approach.
