Medical Textiles Development Specialist

Confluent Medical Technologies is a rapidly growing medical device company that requires a skilled Process Development Engineer, Staff to join our talented team in Warwick, RI.
Responsibilities
- Develop medical textile-based structures to meet customer needs, focusing on product development, validation, and production.
- Lead technical programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, development engineers, operations, and quality personnel.
- Oversee process development, characterization, optimization, and validation, ensuring smooth transfer to production.
- Work on the shop floor, developing processes and training aids, and design, execute, and report on engineering studies.
- Write and review procedures, work instructions, and SOPs, and support Quality deliverables like pFMEAs.
- Interact with customers to understand product and validation requirements, offering strategies and solutions.
- Collaborate with outside vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on aptitude to provide technical leadership to teams, capable of handling multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Passion for innovation, proven problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for development.
