This role will be responsible for driving a LEAN manufacturing philosophy, simplifying and eliminating waste in everything we do.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, a proven track record of leading through significant change, and experience in driving LEAN transformations.

We offer a clear progression path into Plant Manager role with full site responsibility, as well as company support for relocation and work visa for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow production volume ($50m to $150m)
  • Grow shop floor team (50 to 140, 1-shift to 2-shift)
  • Develop team leaders and managers to ensure control and enable LEAN
  • Drive LEAN transformation program
  • Support the relocation to larger Brisbane facility (4000m2 to 8000m2 shop floor)
  • Support the install and commissioning of new manufacturing processes
  • Improve quality and safety systems

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in relevant discipline
  • Strong career progression in manufacturing ('clear A-player')
  • Experience leading through significant change (not just 'steady state')
  • Strong LEAN experience (driving the change, not just relying on consultants)
