Contract Environmental Manager

Due to project growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Contract Environmental Manager to join our successful team in Manchester. Our client, a leading player in the Nuclear Fuels Sector, has partnered with Costain Defence and Nuclear Energy Sector to deliver a five-year project, and we are seeking an experienced professional to manage the environmental aspects of this project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an integrated Contract Management Office, overseeing the planning and delivery of over 40 projects, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse project that is critical to the nuclear infrastructure, and to be part of a team that is shaping the future of the industry.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced environmental professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and who is committed to delivering high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental management, with experience in environmental permitting and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the environmental aspects of the project, including environmental permitting and compliance.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of over 40 projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of the project.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of environmental-related experience.
  • Environmental permitting experience.
