Senior To Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer / Contaminated Land Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior to Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer or Consultant to join our Geotechnical and Environmental team. The successful candidate will be responsible for technically and financially managing and delivering projects from initial quotation to issue of reports, with a focus on geo-environmental site investigation and assessment, remediation and reclamation design, contract management, design implementation and validation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contaminated land legislation and the planning regime, as well as excellent commercial acumen and the ability to provide clear and valued advice to clients. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to mentor junior staff and work consistently and methodically under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of Preliminary Risk Assessments and Intrusive Ground Investigations
  • High level understanding of contaminated land legislation and the planning regime
  • Interpretative report writing and human health risk and groundwater assessment
  • Remedial Targets for Hydrogeological Risk Assessment
  • Contaminated land remedial works – outline design and specification
  • Preparation of detailed design of contaminated land earthworks and remediation schemes
Requirements
  • Experienced project manager with a strong track record of delivering projects
  • Good client-facing skills and excellent communication skills
  • A BSc or BEng in a relevant Geological or Environmental Discipline and MSc in related subject an advantage
  • Ability to work consistently and methodically under pressure and meet deadlines
