Automotive Maintenance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Leaman Consulting.

About the Role:
  • As a specialist in automotive maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet vehicles.
  • You will conduct regular maintenance checks and perform repairs as needed.
  • Your attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts) to ensure vehicle functionality and longevity.
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks).
  • Provide accurate estimates (time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
  • Keep logs on work and issues.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven experience as an auto mechanic.
  • Knowledge of what will fail a MoT test when inspecting a vehicle.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical components.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
  • Ability to handle various tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.

Estimated Salary: £42,000 per annum.

Working Hours: 8:30am - 6pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am - 1pm (negotiable).
