Bio-Based Materials Scientist position available at ADLIB, an innovative Material Science company.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead research and development of innovative bio-based materials, focusing on rapid discovery and optimization through design of experiments (DOE) and high-throughput experimentation. This includes conducting Quantitative Research, managing laboratory-scale experiments from design to execution with scientific rigor, and analysing experimental data to interpret findings and recommend improvements for products and processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with over 5 years of industry experience in material development (experience with bio-based materials is advantageous) or a PhD in a similar field with at least 2 years of experience. You should also have a strong foundation in materials discovery and product development, particularly with bio-based materials, and be skilled in high-throughput and combinatorial techniques, including the design of experiments (DOE).

This full-time role is based in Bermondsey and comes with a competitive salary (£60,000 - £80,000 per annum) and an 18 month Fixed Term Contract with the likelihood to extend beyond this.
