Civil Engineering Project Manager for Sizewell C Development

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civils Project Manager to lead the civil engineering works on the Sizewell C project in Leiston, Suffolk. This is a permanent position with our Client, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of key civil engineering works, ensuring projects are completed to the highest quality, on time, and within budget. They will be responsible for supervising site engineers, subcontractors, and other staff, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil engineering works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Supervise and coordinate site engineers, subcontractors, and other staff, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and high standards of work.
- Act as primary point of contact with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, providing regular project updates and resolving any issues that arise.
- Manage project timelines, identifying and mitigating risks that could impact delivery.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual requirements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering, with specific expertise in drainage, kerbs, service ducts, site clearance, and earthworks.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering processes and ability to manage multiple disciplines within the project scope.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams, motivating staff, and ensuring effective project delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with ability to enforce compliance and promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field. SMSTS (or equivalent) and CSCS card essential.
- Must be based or willing to relocate to Leiston, Suffolk for the duration of the project.
