About the Role

Selint Aviation - Executive Search is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Group Head of Engines. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in engine procurement and a proven track record of success in managing complex engine maintenance agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage complex engine maintenance agreements with OEMs and MROs, with a focus on achieving cost savings and improving profitability.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for engine procurement, including identifying new opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Lead a global team of engine procurement and technical experts, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of engine procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including fleet management and finance teams, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including OEMs and MROs, to ensure timely delivery of engines and maintenance services.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier risks, ensuring the protection of the company's assets and reputation.
  • Develop and implement a 3-5 year engine category plan, aligning with business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • 15-25 years of experience in engine procurement or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Established network of senior contacts within the engine OEM and MRO supplier market.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex engine maintenance agreements and achieving cost savings.
