About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals to provide individualised support to our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour management strategies.
  • Supporting students in their academic activities, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Facilitating independent learning and engagement in classroom activities.
  • Collaborating with teachers and therapists to adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Promoting social interaction and fostering a positive classroom environment.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, behaviour, and achievements.
  • Assisting in the supervision of students during break times, outings, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment.
Requirements:

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience working with children with complex needs and learning difficulties.
  • Knowledge of special education strategies and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational development of children with diverse needs.
