An exciting opportunity has arisen within our valued client's team. This school has been rated 'good' by Ofsted and prides itself on its caring and supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in the Harborne area.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant for KS3/4, you will be assisting with the delivery of all classroom tasks and helping to create a nurturing learning environment for all students. This role requires someone who can deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

**Key Responsibilities**:
You will be expected to:

- Provide support to children with mathematics, reading, and writing on an individual, class or small group basis
- Build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration
- Implement structured learning and teaching programs for pupils with SEN
- Encourage interaction and socialisation between the pupils
- Help with the planning of some lessons and preparation of resources
- Help pupils to build their self-esteem and independence.

**Requirements**:

- Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant, with specific experience with SEN pupils in KS3/KS4
- A professional and patient approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with students and staff
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to stay calm in challenging situations
- Must possess an enhanced DBS check or be willing to undergo a new check.
