Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HMP Millsike, a brand new Category B men's prison located in the village of Full Sutton near York.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding quality-based patient-centered care to our patients, focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care, listening to and acting on patient feedback to ensure personalized and informed care.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy team, including work planning, resource allocation, and supervision of pharmacy staff.
  • Share information on pharmaceutical products, medicines management, and general health education with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of between £36,750 and £44,100 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, and access to our Learning Management System to address your learning needs.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent.
  • Accuracy Checking Technician qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Up-to-date with Continual Professional Development (CPD).
  • Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience.
