We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Electrical Engineer to join our team in Doncaster. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- To carry out essential planned maintenance and complete necessary repairs to keep the factory in good working order.
- To provide electrical maintenance cover through effective and efficient response to plant breakdowns throughout the factory.
- To develop and implement process improvements throughout the factory, developing new ideas and better solutions.
- To provide good communication skills to colleagues and production personnel to develop an understanding of the machinery operation so faults can be diagnosed and rectified efficiently.
- To promote the development and implementation of the Factory IMS & CMMS system.
- To apply rigorous application of TPM Tools & Techniques to generate Continuous Improvement throughout all areas of the Factory.
- To apply the 5S principles to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping.
- To support process improvement throughout the factory.
- To report to the Plant Manager to ensure all maintenance tasks are undertaken.
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship and qualification.
- Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in fault-finding and diagnostic skills on industrial plant and equipment.
- An understanding of PLC equipment and program editing. Able to fault find on PLC and edit programs.
- Design, draw, and read electrical diagrams.
- Replace and program frequency inverters, motor controls, safety circuits.
- A high degree of health and safety awareness.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in manufacturing machinery. They will be able to work on their own initiative, be a time-served engineer, and have multi-skilled abilities (17th or 18th Edition). Experience with PLC systems and PPM processes would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably through training and career development opportunities.
