SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Barnet. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting pupils with SEN and a passion for creating a stimulating environment where students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a pupil with Autism on a one-to-one basis in a year 5 class, adapting to their individual needs
  • Ensure the physical, social, and emotional welfare of children, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students and promote learning, including creating stimulating activities and resources
  • Attend regular review meetings to discuss student progress and implement behavior strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Right to work within the UK
  • Overseas criminal clearance
