Our client, a leading SME family-owned engineering business, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Stonehouse.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with the Management Team to produce all accounting documents, facilitating board reporting functions and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting sales and purchases onto SAP and managing day-to-day reporting requirements
  • Processing invoices and credit notes, organising payments and managing credit control
  • Monthly creation and processing of payroll, including RTI & pensions submissions and staff benefits
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with an external accountant and assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts
  • Providing reports and updates to the Management Team, as required
  • Management Accountants and KPI analysis
  • Ad-hoc commercial reports for the senior leadership team
  • HR administration

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent by experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a finance function within the Engineering sector
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and manage relationships at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of SAP and Excel
