Interim Finance Manager Opportunity

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join a highly successful listed services business based in Cornwall. This is a unique opportunity to lead the finance function and drive growth in a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization.

The successful candidate will report to the CFO and work closely with the COO and senior management team to manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the finance function. Key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee transactional duties performed by an Accounts Assistant
  2. Conduct variance analysis and internal management reporting
  3. Prepare management accounts and cashflow projections
  4. Ensure statutory VAT reporting compliance
  5. Provide technical accounting support to the CFO
  6. Assist with year and quarter end statements
  7. Work with external auditors
  8. Review accuracy of outsourced payroll function
  9. Collaborate with the company's IT service providers

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of general finance experience, preferably with a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. Strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with senior management and external stakeholders are essential.
