About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Loughborough Laboratory Testing Team as an Apprentice Test Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to the safety of hundreds of thousands of people by ensuring the wide range of products manufactured by our clients are tested and safe to use in our everyday lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the testing process from sample arrival to delivery of customer reports
  • Analyze and consider test results to ensure product safety and fitness for purpose
  • Collaborate with clients to provide test updates and define work requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate drive and determination to get results, be enthusiastic, resilient, and an effective team player with a flexible attitude. You will also be innovative in your approach to challenges while maintaining BSI's integrity and reputation.

Requirements

  • Preferably completed NVQ 2 Performing Engineering Operations qualification
  • GCSE's at A-C grade in English, Maths, and Science

What We Offer

We will support you through an engineering apprenticeship scheme with Loughborough College, providing full training in laboratory testing functions and ongoing soft skill development. Following completion of the apprenticeship scheme, BSI will look to support the Apprentice into a permanent position.
