Job Title: Development Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Development Specialist to join our team at Entech Technical Solutions Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing verification and validation plans for complex mechanical rotating and reciprocating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with engineering teams to specify test requirements and define machine, drivetrain, and instrumentation requirements
* Oversee validation test work on internal machines and drive decision-making from test data reviews and end-of-test inspections
* Analyze data as appropriate based on the test work being delivered
* Develop and implement verification and validation plans based on risk identified within DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)

Requirements:

* Proven experience in mechanical validation or verification and developing test plans for equipment passing through R&D
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive decision-making from test data reviews and end-of-test inspections
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

What We Offer:

* Competitive pay rate of £28-£31 per hour (PAYE)

Duration: Initially 12 months, with the potential to extend beyond this and become a long-term ongoing contract position
