Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Specialist to join our team at SmartSourcing Ltd. As a key member of our Finance function, you will play a critical role in the implementation of IFRS 17 and provide technical accounting advice and guidance to our stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide IFRS 17 technical accounting advice and guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement Excel models to perform accounting and modelling calculations, including data gap analysis and system validation.
  • Support the development and implementation of Accounting Rules, Chart of Accounts, and IFRS 17 disclosures.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including the FRC Delivery Partner, Auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders, to ensure seamless implementation of IFRS 17.
  • Assist in ensuring that reporting solutions used across the Finance function are fit for purpose in the rollout of IFRS 17.
  • Maintain a robust control environment in accordance with good practice and UKEF's risk framework.
