About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Series Lead Engineer to join our Digital Vehicle Engineering team at Jaguar Land Rover. As a key member of our Accessories Vehicle Engineering organisation, you will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating engineering data used to enable virtual build and test activities for our future vehicle accessories programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of engineering data (CAD) for our vehicle programmes to enable virtual build and testing activities (CAE modelling)
  • Produce and manage a delivery plan for the engineering data through engagement with our engineering teams
  • Highlight any issues and risks in the engineering data delivery plan which may impact on the virtual build and test activities using the appropriate escalation process
  • Ensure any issues are adequately raised to the correct teams and tracked through to resolution
  • Track test failures to ensure resolution ahead of re-assessment
  • Report out on status at appropriate events, highlighting the key activities required to support virtual test plans, and open issues to communicate risks and issues within a programme
  • Generate, coordinate and manage the attribute level virtual test plan for CAD and CAE assessments
  • Ensure that all inputs required for the virtual tests are identified and delivered on time (CAD, Non-geometric data, CAE models etc)
Requirements
  • Previous experience in managing projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to simplify information and clearly communicate to others, in person and through documentation in writing
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Excellent time management skills. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensures tasks are completed on time
  • Ability to engage stakeholders in person or virtually and build effective working relationships
  • Able to motivate others to work as a team to achieve common goals
  • Able to effectively solve problems, will engage with others and provide recommendations of how to overcome problems
