About the Role

We're seeking an Occupational Resilience Specialist to lead our emergency planning and resilience efforts. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Trust's preparedness and response to major incidents, both planned and unplanned.

You'll work closely with stakeholders, including NHSE/I, Local NHS Commissioners, multi-agency partners, and the local resilience forum, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective emergency preparedness and response strategies
  • Ensure the Trust meets its statutory obligations and complies with relevant guidance, including the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the NHS England Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Guidance (2022)
  • Manage risk-based approaches to resilience and preparedness, using dynamic risk assessment and decision-making models
  • Coordinate business continuity activities, including business continuity plans and impact analysis
  • Foster strong relationships with partners and stakeholders to promote system resilience and improvement
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A first degree in an emergency planning-related field or equivalent vocational experience
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate study or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of post-qualifying and continuing professional development, such as Associate Membership or above of relevant professional bodies
  • Experience of resilience systems and processes, including command and control/Incident response
  • Delivering training and working across staff groups and between organisations
  • Managing a risk-based approach to resilience, preparedness, and the application of dynamic risk assessment and decision-making models
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including the Health and Care Act 2022

Estimated Salary: £43,877 - £55,760 per annum
