About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Halton. As a Specialist SLT, you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans to support children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to ensure seamless support for children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
- Develop and deliver training programs to support the development of communication skills in children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to speech and language therapy services for children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
- Registration with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
- Experience in conducting assessments and developing individualized therapy plans for children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
- Experience in working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to support children and young people with ASD and other communication needs.
