Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our client's team, responsible for accurately costing and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale fit-out projects. This role requires hands-on expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and strong supplier negotiation skills to maintain control over the financial elements of each project from tender to handover.

Responsibilities:

  1. Estimating & Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment, producing competitive bids that reflect project specifications and client expectations.
  2. Budget Management: Continuously monitor and track budgets, ensuring accurate cost control and promptly addressing any variances to maintain financial alignment.
  3. Cost Analysis & Value Engineering: Conduct rigorous cost analysis and apply value engineering principles to maximise efficiency and project value without compromising on quality.
  4. Supplier & Subcontractor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, securing favourable terms and ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
  5. Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost and timeline risks, implementing proactive measures to mitigate any financial or operational impact.
  6. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to align financial objectives and provide transparent cost updates throughout project phases.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of estimating experience within the fit-out or construction sector, with an emphasis on interior projects.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (such as Bluebeam, CostX) and a solid understanding of fit-out and construction processes.
  • Analytical & Organisational Abilities: Detail-focused, with strong budgeting skills and the ability to handle complex cost data with precision.
  • Problem Solving: Skilled in identifying solutions under pressure to keep projects within budget and on schedule.
